Ongoing maintenance fees for an SBA line of credit through the CAPLines program will be higher than ongoing fees with an SBA 7(a) loan. This is because the lines of credit are extended based on short-term assets, like invoices and contract, which require continuous verification.

Factoring is a finance method where a company sells its receivables at a discount to get cash up-front. Another important distinction is that while 7(a) and 504 loans come from third party lenders, microloans come directly from government funds, which are administered by local nonprofits in each community. Collateral and a personal guarantee are still required.
To set up a ROBS your company must also be structured as a “C” corporation and you must have $50K+ in a tax deferred retirement account. The setup costs of $5,000 must come from other means outside of your retirement funds, but the monthly costs can be paid for with any business including the money you roll over.
